Namaz-i-Janaza of Lance Naik Tariq Alam offered

KARACHI: The `Namaz-i-Janaza' of Lance Naik Tariq Alam was offered at Malir here on Friday.

Corps Commander, Lt. Gen. Muhammad Ajaz Chaudhary, senior military officers and a large number of troops attended, ISPR sources said.

They said Tariq Alam embraced martyrdom while performing election duties when a road-side planted IED on Thursday night here injuring 10 soldiers and six civilians.

Later, the Corps Commander visited military hospital and inquired about the health of the injured, it was further stated.
